In 2026, the Nova Scotia Nurses’ Union Annual General Meeting will take place from April 13-16 at the Best Western Glengarry Hotel in Truro. The theme for the 50th Anniversary event is Still Fighting, Always Caring.

For the first time in its 53-year history, the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour (NSFL)  has elected a woman, and the first woman of colour, to hold this role of president.
