The NSNU Board of Directors made up of active nursing members of the Union. Comprised of ten elected officials - one President and nine Vice Presidents - the Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization, developing and managing NSNU policies and governing the NSNU between annual meetings.
The Board of Directors is comprised of the following eleven members:
- The President – nominated from within the general membership, elected by the AGM delegates.
- The 1st Vice President - nominated from within the general membership, elected by the AGM delegates.
- Vice President of Finance – nominated from within the general membership, elected by the AGM delegates.
- Vice President of Licensed Practical Nurses – nominated and elected by the LPN Component.
- Vice President of Long Term Care – nominated and elected by the LTC Component.
- Vice President of Community Care (VON and Canadian Blood Services) – nominated and elected by the Community Care Component.
- Vice President of the Central Region – nominated and elected by the Central Region delegates.
- Vice President of the Eastern Region - nominated and elected by the Eastern Region delegates.
- Vice President of the Northern Region – nominated and elected by the Northern Region delegates.
- Vice President of the Western Region – nominated and elected by the Western Region delegates.
- Vice President of the IWK - nominated and elected by IWK delegates.
