The Nova Scotia Federation of Labour has launched a letter writing campaign urging the government to ensure 10 paid sick days to all Nova Scotians, in accordance with a commitment made by the federal government.

The global COVID-19 Pandemic has shown why paid sick leave for all workers is desperately needed. We know that workers have gone to work sick, simply because they can’t afford to take the time off. When people go to work sick, they risk getting both their coworkers and the public sick. Increased illness also puts unnecessary strain on workplaces and on our healthcare system.
